GABRIEL SCOTT, A CANADIAN FAMILY SUCCESS STORY
In 2012, after various experiences in architecture, industrial design and jewelry creation, two brothers-in-law Gabriel Kakon and Scott Richler decided to launch their own Canadian brand of furniture and lighting under the name of Gabriel Scott. Based in Canada in Montreal, the two acolytes design and manufacture from their studio exclusive, elegant and contemporary pieces. Both former interior designers, it is by being responsible for creating custom furniture and lighting for their projects, that they wanted to launch their own brand.
With a particular taste for geometric shapes and a strong preference for precious materials such as blown glass, brass plated steel or even marble, the products they offer are surprising.
The suspensions and chandeliers inspired by precious stones so characteristic that they imagine and make by hand clearly stand out in the world of luxury design.
Two years later, in 2014, their collection is available in their showroom, located in downtown Manhattan at the corner of Broome and Mott Streets.
FURNITURE AND LIGHTING COLLECTIONS WITH CHIC AND CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
"Being honest, clear, and creative" are the keys to good design according to Gabriel Kakon and Scott Richler.
The two co-founders of Gabriel Scott love innovation, originality, novelty. They like to work in teams and collaborate with the best craftsmen and artists to constantly design new prototypes which take months to materialize after a multitude of stages in research and development. And each of their pieces has its own identity, its own personality, its own story.
Gabriel Scott also has expertise in lighting (chandeliers, suspensions, wall, table lamps). Here are some of their greatest achievements:
With its fine, feminine silhouette, Myriad distinguishes itself by its meticulously articulated lines that transport and distribute volumes of blown glass and gently draw its horizontal or vertical shape, in different sizes.
Versatile, the Welles collection allows Gabriel Scott's customers to play on proportions and adapt to any space thanks to its modular nature.
Inspired by a jewel and offered in several options of glass and hardware, Briolette fits perfectly into a bold and elegant touch to brighten up all types of decor
